SAP Unity – ERP-Harmonization (2022–2023)

Integration and digitization of construction, production, and business processes

Project Description

As part of a company-wide transformation program at the Binderholz Group, business processes were standardized using SAP. The goal was to create a unified, scalable system landscape to integrate construction, production, and corporate processes across multiple international locations.
In particular, the project focused on linking construction and MEP processes with ERP systems to enable end-to-end digital workflows from planning through production to operations.

Project Details

  • Client: Binderholz Group
  • Role: Sub-Project Manager (Hallein office)
  • Project period: 2022–2023
  • Project budget: approx. €40 million (total program)
  • System: SAP ERP

Project Timeline

The project focused on integrating and structuring business processes in the areas of finance, procurement, production, and sales within the SAP system landscape.
A key component was the definition and harmonization of data structures and interfaces between construction projects, MEP systems, production processes, and IT systems. Existing processes were analyzed, standardized, and integrated into a centralized system logic.
In parallel, support was provided for data migration and system consolidation to integrate existing systems and locations into the new structure.
A particular challenge was aligning central guidelines with the local requirements of the individual production and project sites. This required intensive stakeholder management as well as structured subproject management.
