Modern Country House on the Hachelbach: 2015–2017

Rural Architecture with Rustic Accents and Wood Artistry

Modern Country House on the Hachelbach 2015–2017 001

Project Overview

The project comprises a spacious single-family home situated on an expansive plot in a rural setting. The architecture combines modern clarity with regional materiality: a wooden roof featuring a visible structural framework. This combination of natural materials and clean lines creates a harmonious blend of tradition and contemporary architecture.

Architectural Concept

The architectural concept is based on solid brick construction featuring H-bond masonry. The roof structure consists of exposed wooden beams, lending the building a warm, rustic aesthetic. The interior layout is designed to be spacious and comfortable. The room configuration is functional, providing a clear separation between private and communal areas. High-quality materials and luxurious finishes underscore the exceptional level of residential comfort.

Project Process and Design Concept

The design, permitting, and construction planning phases were progressively refined and guided through to construction supervision.

Collaboration and Planning Approach

The project was executed in close coordination with the client, structural engineers, and timber construction trades. The primary focus lay on refining structural details, integrating the exposed timber structure, and coordinating the interior finishing trades. Through continuous coordination, the precise realization of both design and technical requirements was ensured.
