Presentation to the buildingSMART “Open CDE Ecosystem” Expert Group at the “Connect” Plenary Day on May 12, 2026
The buildingSMART Germany User Day took place in Berlin on May 12–13, 2026. As part of the event, a new plenary session format called “Connect” was introduced to promote collaboration among buildingSMART expert groups. Our Managing Director, Marcel Lang, gave a short presentation there alongside his two fellow expert group spokespersons, Robin Schönbach from Kaulquappe GmbH and Matthias Bergmann from Albert.Ing, on the “Open CDE Ecosystem” expert group.
The “Open CDE Ecosystem” expert group is committed to an interoperable, vendor-neutral, and future-proof data ecosystem in planning, construction, and operation. The goal is to connect existing CDE systems via open interfaces to sustainably improve information flows, collaboration, and data sovereignty.
